I don't use it often if at all, but I think it warrants use if a word is used 
in a different sense than the normal meaning (common in mathematics, 
where "ring" and "group" have meanings completely different from the normal), 
or if it's a lujvo whose meaning is unlikely to be figured out.

Btw, I don't think that the usual words "djine" and "girzu" and "foldi" should 
be used for the mathematical meanings. They are types of girzu (the ring, 
IIRR, is dilcygri), but just plain "girzu" is not right. "Continuous", 
though, is close enough to the normal meaning.
