Re: [lojban-beginners] About reading speed of lojban text. Compared with natlang's text.
I'll chime in with my novice experience reading (and particularly
writing) Lojban.
When writing Lojban, I'm inspired to add additional, clarifying details
that I would not add to an English sentence. This makes my Lojban
longer and presumably more precise. When speaking with people with
more fluency in Lojban than I have, I've been surprised when they
suggest something to me that I consider too imprecise--I suspect as
my own comfort in Lojban increases the context I'm willing to assume
while writing will tend more toward brevity than it currently does.
