I'm not sure if this is confusing you or not, but let me just mention that 
{se du'u} isn't a separate abstractor, it's just a handy way of getting at the
x2 of the relationship. {du'u} (like all abstractors) takes a bridi and
converts it into a selbri, in this case with the definition "x1 is predication
[bridi] expressed in sentence x2". So

du'u mi plana [vau] [kei]

is "x1 is the predication of my being fat, which can be expressed in sentence
x2".

Also, don't overlook {xusra}, which takes a du'u1 natively.
