[lojban-beginners] Re: How to say "should" in Lojban



You could try {te stidi} (Should I go to bed? | Do you suggest I go to
bed?) or {xamgu}. "Should" is one of those value-per-situation words
in English, and we don't have those in Lojban. Often it is necessary
to expand upon or find the root meaning of what one is trying to say.
{mi selxau lo nu sipna} (I'm benefited to sleep.), need and don't want
{.i mi nitcu gi'enai djica vau lo nu sipna}, {.i xu mi terti'i lo nu
sipna} should I go to sleep?, etc.

=D We're not big on lazy words like "should" or "is".
