Can you be more specific with the question? "pu", "ca", "ba" take only
one sumti when used as tags.

Maybe you are thinking of their use as connectives, as in ".e ba bo"?
In such constructions it is the connective ".e" that takes two sumti,
and "ba" is just being added to the meaning of ".e".
