In my opinion, that comparison doesn't really work: love somewhat
converges (though people might disagree), but english pronunciation
diverges so horribly with every new dialect you add to your repertoire,
that it might confuse you to the point where you aren't even sure what
letter stands for what sound and you will start foaming from the mouth
and fall over and eventually die.
