I had been pronouncing xa and ze kind of like sa and
se, maybe a little more buzz than hiss.  I'll have to
listen to the sound files when I get back to the

Someone mentioned that the beginner's guide had a good
section on how things were pronounced.  It is good, if
you are used to that sort of thing.  I've been told
that my French accent is pretty good.  It's purely
mimic.  I don't usually correctly pronounce French
words that I've never seen before.  I just suck at
phonetics.

Paxa brings up another thing sticks in my craw.  I
like saying two tens and two better than saying two
two.  English (and French) do this for some numbers,
but grossly break this idea for others.  We are a 10
digit (read: finger) people.  It makes sense that we
have a base 10 system for everyday use.  Given that,
I'd much rather say one ten and six, and one ten and
two instead of six and ten, and twelve, respectively
(French starts breaking on the upper end with four
double ten and two).

That is just a small rant though, and I won't worry
about bending Lojban to my whims until I'm much more
accomplished in it (here is a big plus for Lojban,
attitudinal words, since I'm not a big fan of smileys,
I just don't know what the tongue-in-cheek version of
.u'i is).
