[lojban-beginners] LearnLojban flashcard program troubleshooting

  I downloaded LearnLojban last night, in hopes of not having to pay
for SuperMemo, but I'm having some problems: when I tap a button to
see the current word's definition, the definition appears, but is very
quickly replaced with the next flashcard. The definitions, then, are
nigh-unreadable. Also, the program occasionally displays a blank
flashcard, so I have to restart LearnLojban to continue.
  Has anyone else had similar issues? Is there a workaround of some
sort?  All help will be appreciated.
