Yes thats a feature ;)

 if you tap the central part of the screen then the definition is
revealed, tapping (specifically releasing) a button moves you onto the
next word
If you hold down the button the definition should stay until you release
it - use whichever method you prefer

Mike was changing this so that the middle of the screen says "tap here
to reveal answer" or something similar, to make it more obvious, maybe
he hasnt got around to posting the new version yet
