Well, it modifies a "selbri", but not necessarily the whole selbri of
the bridi--it only modifies the next brivla-or-equivalent following
it. But you can use it to modify a whole complex selbri, like this:
le nu mi klama cu se ke drani tcika la daucac.
According to CLL (5.11) this is a bit different in meaning than
le nu mi klama cu drani se tcika la daucac.
though the main selbri has the same place structure. Exactly how the
meaning differs, I'm not really sure though. Whether anyone makes this
kind of distinction in practice, I don't know.
