Geek used to be a bad thing, someone with low social skills, but not anymore.
"To geek. Verb. To enjoy an intense interest in an obscure specialty of
difficulty." This is what geek means. Here is a Wikipedia article:

Therefore, if anyone studies Lojban, they will probably meet this definition.
