My own feeling is that the existing dictionary text is pretty good as-is.  I
have no doubt that a professional designer could make it even better, but I'm
not sure that's warranted if it would take a long time to put together.  My
own thought about the dictionary is that this is more of an interim
production for use until the LLG publishes an official version.  As I
mentioned in an earlier message, this is more of a "bird in the hand" kind of
book - it's worth more having any kind of dictionary right now than having to
wait a long time before getting a complete one.

And I really do think the current format of the pdf file is quite acceptable.
It looks very "dictionary like", which is all we can really ask for.  :-)

OK, but I would still like to play around with a redesign of the contents eventually. I've been trying to download a jbovlaste dictionary in a form from which I can extract the text. I'm struggling to figure out what to do with a TEX file. Linux opens it in a text editor as some kind of markup, rather than just the text with line breaks.
