The idea is that lojban has only one meaning for each word. 'bajra' 
describes the action of running (the means of locomotion). Using the 
word to refer to other uses of the English word 'to run', such as for 
water, or (in Australian and United States English) standing for a 
political office, would be condemned as malglico.

As for the question of gait, I would think (although I am no authority) 
that 'bajra' has quite a broad definition, and might include such 
meanings as those covered by English 'jog', et cetera. I'm not so 
certain about this though.
