[lojban-beginners] Re: Translation

Ok, with your help, I have hopefully improved my statement:

{lenu ro do cu pu zukte ta se ki'ubo mi djica lenu mi jikselsi'a}
The-event all you acted like 'that' is the reason I want the-event I am socially-esteemed.

Hmm...I'm thinking that {ro do} would be more appropriate {ro prenu}, since he is only addressing the event that his friends did, and not what everyone did.

I added {pu} to hopefully stress that this event has passed, and is not going on right this minute.

{se ki'ubo}. Not the first time I've made a mistake between the 'because' and 'therefore' versions -_-'

{jikselsi'a}. I agree that this is more appropriate of the concept of 'popular' than {selju'i}

Naomi: I have a suspicion that not only Your {loi} is - as xorxes stated - not what
You want, but that isn't {lo}, either.
Let's think it over (I'm not damn good in that, but let's make a try :)). If You say
{lo prenu}, the statement Your bridi expresses is supposed to be true for all the
people alive (or not, but that's not important for us). Saying {le prenu} You can
pick some certain members of Humanity and announce something only applying
to that circle of humans instead of You, Thomas, me... and everybody else. :)

Oh, and (as xorxes noted) {ki'a} "I didn't understand this and this" is not the same
as {ki'u} "...for which the reason is...". :)
