The rafsi of a gismu consists of three letters from the gismu and possibly an
apostrophe. There is no "a" in {trixe}.

{mupli} has two cmavo derived from it, {mu'a} and {mu'u}. Neither could be its
rafsi.

{stuna} and {stici} begin with the same letter. So do their rafsi. Their cmavo
{du'a} and {vu'a} don't, which is why the Lojban compass is marked B, N, D,
V.
