Most moder schedule management sofware is able to publish schedules
and calendars in variety of common standards. You can publish things
like free/busy info and stuff.
It can be useful. Also google's calendar (and pretty much any other
service) can be easily used for all sort of groupware needs.
It realy shouldn't be a big deal to manage the schedules, as long as
people are willing to take part in the schedule management.
