SUPER: These are Green Man lands
Is "Green Man" a name?
It's a racial designation. Burroughs' Barsoom is home to two races,
the Green Martians -- 12-foot-tall, green-skinned, primitive nomads
-- and the Red Martians, who are highly civilized humanoids.
I'm expecting to use:
{lei ri'opre} the mass of individuals described as Green Persons
{le ri'onakne} the green man (using generic male, since he isn't
humanoid)
{le ri'ofetsi} the green woman (fetsi ditto)
{lei xunpre} the mass of individuals described as Red Persons
{le xunynau} the red man (nanmu because he is humanoid)
{le xunyni'u} the red woman (ninmu ditto)
When in the next scene, a party of {le ri'osonci} comes over a
hilltop and discover John Carter, one says: {ua xunpre} "Whoa! A
Red One!"
