For example, ".kot.divuar." is a single cmene, but two cmevla. Another
example -- "jbofi'e" is a cmene but is not a cmevla. There is nothing
that *is* a jbofi'e (lojbanic fish), only something that is *named*  
jbofi'e.

(That last sentence is a bit of a rough translation. The original  
says that the
thing that is a jbofi'e (or is named jbofi'e does and doesn't exist,  
respectively.)
