Re: [lojban-beginners] Should I propose an experimental cmavo? (was non-urgent research request to help Lojban.)
> Isn't that what the observatives are for?
Not from my understanding. From .i la lojban mo:
”...[an observative] is usually stated by someone when they first
observe or take note of the relation, and wish to quickly communicate
it to someone else.“
> «nu mi klama» is that, "look, [the event of] me coming" (±tense/aspect/whatever).
"The event of me going" is not an observative, and I'm not sure what
you're saying with '(±tense/aspect/whatever).' Could you spell it out
for me?
> "never mind" is almost as long as ".i ko tolju'i" (for example), so, why new cmavo?
I don't think you understand my question. Firstly I'm not comparing
English and Lojban brevity. My use of "never mind" is to describe an
utterance that I wish to express distinctly in Lojban. My
illustrations were an attempt to show that this concept, a scalar
indicator from "make note" to "never mind," has common applications
similar to other BAI attitudinals. My question is: is there really no
attitudinal or cmavo for this concept? My syllogism is: if there is
not, then I wish to propose it as an experimental cmavo.
