To clarify, what I was trying to do was circumvent the issues we were having by defining a few ko'a series words to be events, facts, concrete objects, etc. in advance and then using them later in this "partially generic" sense. I didn't think it would actually work, but I figured I'd try.

It doesn't. "lo fasnu" can refer to any event, or to events in general, and
there's no way to tell from those two sentences whether the two occurrences
of "lo fasnu" refer to the same event.
