[lojban-beginners] seltau == tertau -> ???



What happens if the seltau and tertau are identical? Does the seltau only contribute its "different" meaning to the tertau in forming the tanru, and so something like "mother kind of mother" is redundant and unnecessary? Or could {mamta mamta} be a way of saying "grandmother" (perhaps "maternal grandmother")?

Also (in the spirit of what brought me to this thought in the first place):
.i ko se pluka lo djedi pe lo mamta

mu'o mi'e latros.
