Re: [lojban] Re: jboselkei and social incentives

OK. I see the logic in the system. It's really good. Thanks for your response.

What happens if we get so many posts that many of them never get translated? We already have 24 untranslated posts. For this reason, I think I'll keep my number of posts to an average of one a day. Are posts assigned to translators in chronological order? Or randomly?

I wonder if there would be any value in displaying a number showing the average difficulty level of all posts that are currently untranslated. (Currently that number is 3.1304 by the way.) That way if we start running low on easy newbie posts, we can create some to encourage them to translate.

jboselkei is full of great little features. I keep finding more of them. But I'm suggesting the few fringe possibilities which I do not see yet. As you can see, in addition to enjoying playing the game, I've enjoyed thinking about the game.

That is not true for now. Every user can unlimitedly post (if his
rating is at least 10).

The matter is that jboselkei is a medium for all Lojbanists, freshmen
as well. It would be strange to demand from a newcomer to translate
something into Lojban just to ask for assistance. jboselkei is thought
as a definite place to ask "How's that translated to Lojban?"
questions. Everyone will have something as a reward: newbies -
knowledge, and experienced Lojbanists - glory and rating points ;)
