I think that "lotus" actually covers a number of
species (even genera) of water plants:
waterlilies, for example.  But even if it is
strictly lotuses there are more than one speices
and certainly a number of straines, etc.  The
same does apply to a large number of plant and
animal predicates, though not consistently.  The
inconsistency is even more marked for x3 and x4,
which could be used for almost any critter, but
seems to occur only with {latna} and maybe a very
few others.  They are not on {gerku}, for
example, even though dogs have a variety of
significances in different cultures.
