Hello there, I recently downloaded some SRT files (subtitle) for some
films I own. As these movies will never be dubed in lojban, I started to
think about a way to learn lojban faster by subtitling the movies in
lojban.
To get started, it would be to find some nice SRT files in english, then
translate them into lojban. SubSync will makes things easy, however
notepad is just enough (a SRT file is a text file which includes when the
subtitle should appears and for how long).
To get you started, here's some nice SRT files (each less than 100 KiB) :
Hairspray by John Waters (1988) :

Gulliver's Travels by Charles Sturridge (1996) (the most fabulous version
ever aired) :

http://david.koch.9online.fr/Gulliver's%20Travels%20CD2.srt
Veer Zaara (french) by Yash Chopra (2004)
http://david.koch.9online.fr/Veer.Zaara FRENCH
SUB%20(%20Fran%e7ais%20)%20.2004.CD1.DVDRip.XviD-BrG.srt
http://david.koch.9online.fr/Veer.Zaara FRENCH
SUB%20(%20Fran%e7ais%20)%20.2004.CD2.DVDRip.XviD-BrG.srt
http://david.koch.9online.fr/Veer.Zaara FRENCH
SUB%20(%20Fran%e7ais%20)%20.2004.CD3.DVDRip.XviD-BrG.srt
Is it a good idea or something subject to be forgotten ?
