I don't see "selkliru" coming into common usage. I have assumed that
the appropriate words would be "kliru" <-> "chlorine" and "klirypoi" <->
"halogen". Perhaps, a lujvo should be used to enforce the default.
{klirypoi} can mean "halogen group", but not "halogen". {klirypoicmi}
would be "halogen":
lo kliru cu klirypoicmi
Chlorine is a halogen.
lo li'orkliru cu klirypoicmi
Fluorine is a halogen.
lo xunkliru cu klirypoicmi
Bromine is a halogen.
