[lojban] respecting cultures

The mere fact of being a human being is not sufficient grounds for any respect.  The worst people deserve no respect at all.  Strangers are accorded respect by giving them the benefit of the doubt.  Once they become known quantities, their actions and words signal how much respect they deserve.
