[lojban] Exaggerate

I'm having a hard time translating "exaggerate" (v.tr. To represent as greater than is actually the case; overstate). It seems to involve {xusra} and {zmadu}. Here's my first two passes.

"His successors probably exaggerated his wickedness."

1. * la'a lo selyli'e be ko'a cu xusra lo du'u ko'a zmadu fi lo ka ce'u palci
[probable] the ones-preceded by him assert the fact-that he exceeds in-property being-evil
2. * la'a lo selyli'e be ko'a cu xusra lo du'u ko'a da'i zmadu ko'a da'i nai lo ka ce'u palci
[probable] the ones-preceded by him assert the fact-that he [supposing] exceeds himself [in-fact] in-property being-evil

I'm pretty sure both of these are wrong. In exaggeration, one asserts X, the degree of X is greater than that of Y (the truth), but one is silent on Y. So, third pass:

3. * la'a lo selyli'e be ko'a cu xusra
lo du'u ko'a palci la'u da poi zmadu lo je'u jai la'u palci be fai ko'a
[probable] the ones-preceded by him assert the fact-that he is-evil in-quantity x which exceeds the [in truth] quantity-of is-evil he

I think that's accurate, but it probably could be improved. Any suggestions?
