Hi,
Transhumanism is a concept which is a bit too alien to me.
(I generally have difficulties with teleology and the dependence
on purposes.) There may be simpler reasons for interest in Lojban.
I am interested (not more) in Lojban because I speak some other
"natural" languages (German, English, Japanese, French) and quite
often felt, that different languages really do limit (in different
ways) your ability to express yourself.
In Lojban you have conscious control over this. (Some people
may not like that because the limits of a language can be a nice
excuse.)
Unfortunately Lojban is limited by lack of users.
So there remains one reason (I think, it was given in "Lojban
for beginners") for me to play with it: It is a nice "intellectual
toy".
Unfortunately I do not have much time to play with toys these days.
I thought about how to get more users. I don't believe, that any noble
"mission" would help to make Lojban more popular. There are so many
Missions already. The "intellectual toy" approach seems to me the
most promising way to attract speakers. Perhaps one should try to get
some SF writer to use it in his stories.
About 10000 people play with Klingon, and that language really
Limits what you can express. Promote lojban as a toy. Playing is
a good reason - because even if you don't can substantiate that
It is a goot reasen you still have fun with playing.
