Re: [lojban] lojban official reference licensing

The current license is really juvenile and unworkable.

No publication or scholar is going to have his work in every sentence saying what has been modified from original.

the mentality of the current license is great, where one can try to preserve a lojban standard yet have a good heart to let others do derivative work. The license itself however prevents any derived work other than students and personal notes of the blog class.

i and other people would have made derivative works out of it, if not for the license. Sure, i can seek the official lojban group members and make arrangements or change the license, but that is besides the point and another step extra.

The licensing has this clause:

Permission is granted to copy and distribute modified versions of this book,
provided that the modifications are clearly marked as such, and provided
that the entire resulting derived work is distributed under the terms of a
permission notice identical to this one.

this requirement for marking modified places is a bit impractical to follow. Is it possible to change this? Perhaps replacing it with something like a
clear notification that this is a modified version?

thanks.
