coi rodoYes certainly. But Old Russian alphabet has 44 letters and new has 33.But in the American alphabet only 24 letters. It is still less in lojban. It means one Russian letter necessary to transfer by several American. But more rational it would be make vice versa. As the base to take the Russian alphabet, but not American alphabet. But now, for the transfer of one letter in lojban, I must use 4-5 letters?
Hi Ignat. It is not called the "American alphabet" but the "Latin" or "Roman" alphabet, and it has 26 letters (or it did last time I counted :-P). It is used by many countries around the world, and there's nothing particularly American about it.
If you want to quote Cyrillic letters (characters) in Lojban, refer here: http://www.lojban.org/en/publications/reference_grammar/chapter17.html#s17. To quote one Cyrillic character in Lojban, you will need up to 14 characters!!
However, it is much simpler to use the Latin character set to write lojban in. More lojbanists can read what you write if you do that. You seem to be able to write in it okay :-).
