I think that asking you to justify your statements is perfectly
reasonable and not insulting at all. (Thank you tho for including
your reasoning/justification.)
the current situation, where a garbage logo is used while nobody
sees wrong with it, in fact perhaps feel great about it, is a
common phenomenon of the OpenSource situation, fill with ignorance
and lies.
This is totally over the top. Let's be honest and direct here. You
have a strong opinion and you want others to buy in. Nothing wrong
with that. What I have a problem with is your abusive language and
manner, your ingratitude toward those who have made an effort (I note
you still have not produced a logo), your obnoxious attempt to
browbeat others into "agreeing" with you by claiming that it is
"obvious" that the present logo is garbage, and finally your ad-
hominem attacks on anyone who disagrees ("ignorance and lies").
I note you have been tooting this horn for a couple years now. Has
it ever occurred to you that your manner turns people off? Maybe
that's part of why you've been unsuccessful. Your sales skills need
a lot of work. Here's a clue: don't insult and attack the people who
you want to help you.
Neither I nor other list members, nor the Lojban community owe you
anything. We don't owe you a new logo nor do we owe you any time
fixing the present one. For the most part, the Lojban community
seems content with the present logo. In short, to me for sure and I
suspect to most members of the Lojban community, your logo issue is
not important.
My request of you is this: go make a logo that meets your criteria
and present it to the list; and don't bother me or the list about
this issue until you do. I'll put a "please" on that if it'll help.
Please, and thanks,
steve
