You can say {lo jisra} and that's fine. {lo} is the unmarked gadri,
no classification implied, you can't go wrong with it.

(Still, I think you are right that Lojban is not as easy as touted,
but in most cases you are not required to make a distinction if 
you don't need or don't want to make it.)
