Yes it is Russian. Another point about that word is that "-yonok" is a suffix
used mostly to form the young of animals (an exception is "bochka" "barrel",
whose little one "bochonok" was not born or hatched), and its plural is
"-yata". Generally declensional endings were chopped off before a word was
used to make a Lojban word.

There are some typos noted on the page, such as {spofu}, which should have
been {spotu} (there is no 'f' in any of the etymology words), and "monbre",
one of the words used to make {cmene}, which should have been "nombre".
