[lojban] Off-topic: sources on auxlangs and conlangs
coi rodo
I'm considering theming my English course next semester on invented
languages and invention in language, so it would cover all varieties of
constructed languages (including Lojban, of course) and also creative
change in languages (anything from pidgins to l3375P34|<). I'm currently
looking round for academic or semi-academic (e.g. "popular science")
texts available online which I can use. I'd be grateful for any
suggestions, especially in the following areas:
- the politics of auxlangs, especially Esperanto;
- linguistic objections to constructed languages (e.g. the hard-line
Chomskyan view);
- studies of change in constructed languages, especially studies of
native speakers of constructed languages.
