The procedure for choosing and registering a language tag with the
IANA is described in RFC 1766.  According to that RFC, the appropriate
tag to register for lojban would be "i-lojban".  Until such a tag is
registered, "x-lojban" should be used.  IANA won't assign two-letter
language tags; they leave those to ISO.

5.  IANA registration procedure for language tags

   Any language tag must start with an existing tag, and extend it.

   This registration form should be used by anyone who wants to use a
