And I want to thank you for this. The short sentence(s) are perfect for me
(as a beginner) to start getting to grips with using the language. Once I
feel a little more comfortable myself I'll inflict an attempt at writing
lojban to the list as well.
To really get to grips with a new language you have to practice with it and
talk or write with people in it. I appreciate the comments on the list in
answer to my questions - they've been great. Hopefully I won't make too many
mistakes when posting in lojban (.u'i Is it possible to accidentally insult
someones mother or their honor in lojban while trying to say something
innocent??).
I'm a complete beginner myself. I was a lurker on the list about a year ago
for a few months but it wasn't until I got 'The Complete Lojban Language' in
the mail recently that I've started learning it in earnest.
When and where is the Lojfest?
Thanks,
Chris.
