Of the 100-word Swadesh list (a list of words considered to be
highly stable in language evolution), Lojban has simple equivalents
for all but "die" and "ash" (not the tree, but the by-product of
combustion). "Die" we pretty much understand as "become dead".
What's a good lujvo for "ash"? "Fire-excrement"? The current
jvoste has nothing.
