I can vouch for that. Even though I'm far more fluent in English
than in Lojban, I wouldn't even try to write rhymes in English,
but in Lojban it's far easier. Of course, that something scans
and rhymes doesn't mean it's good poetry, but here's an
example anyway (from Thanksgiving Day 1994):
xukydei
ca lo tcelenku djedi pe le masti
ca le ciromoi masti pe le critu
noda muvdu vi le zunle ja pritu
i roda ca'o le djedi cu klasti
i mi kucli le du'u xukau zasti
ku'u le vi bragu'e fa lo krinu
be le nu le vi panpi smaji jvinu
lei tcaci ke cladu klaji cu basti
i lei mi selpei cu nerkla lo sarlu
i pe'u doi ka'e ciksi ko darlu
le du'u ki'u makau kunti klaji
i mi viska le nu va snime farlu
i mi cmimo le kamtolkansa traji
i ro lanzu lo ri xruki cu jmaji
co'o mi'e xorxes
