actually the lojban is the original, le selsku pu lojbo se finti mi. 
 
the english translation is also mine, but se'o it doesn't capture as
much of my meaning.  english demands absurdly simple tenses.  the tense
of [le nu ko'a mi xanjai] should be something like: [puzuku
bazuku.a'o].  (doi certu jbopre do'u: is that valid lojban?  can i give
a bridi more than one tense?  & can i attach an attitudinal to a tense?)
