Many of them are (e.g. {sodnrkali} "potassium"). The navni (except for navni
itself) are all calques: solnavni, navni, laznynavni, mipnavni, ciznavni,
dircynavni. The kliru are calques except for kliru itself and klirlxastati
(oops - that should have been {klirnxastati}).
In English too, many of the names are fu'ivla: sulfur, arsenic, palladium. A
few are native: iron, gold, tin. Some are from other Germanic languages:
bismuth, wolfram/tungsten, nickel. The ones named for people and places, such
as rutherfordium, you can pretty much count on being fu'ivla in every
language (though for francium, gallium, and germanium I made fu'ivla).

I didn't make up {li'orkliru}. It's in oldlog.txt, which is a list of Loglan
gismu ({fluro}, in this case) with corresponding Lojban words.
"Salt" is used in chemistry for a large class of ionic compounds, not just
sodium chloride or sea salt (which is a mixture of salts). I also suggested a
while back using {-tau} for binary compounds, not necessarily salts, such as
tabno relkijytau (va'i bakrygapci, because it results from dropping acid on
chalk) and tabno pavykijytau (va'i mantygapci, because it's the anhydride of
mantyslami).
