Really?  I could swear that I read at one point that for the sake of making life easier {da broda brode de di} put da into broda and de/di into brode.  Maybe I am thinking of {broda co brode}.  How does that work exactly?  I'll have to just read through the CLL again some time.

No, you are probably thinking of "da broda co brode de di".

In "da broda brode de di", "da" fills the x1 of brode.
