[lojban] Lojban Kids Show
This isn't something that I plan on starting up now. This is
completely in preproduction, and may stay that way for several months,
but I had the idea to create a kids' show in the vein of Dora the
Explorer, but for Lojban. The basic premise is that the show follows
the life of somebody that has recently moved to jbogu'e as an exchange
student, and has a very limited understanding of the language. The
character, as of right now, is planned to carry around a stuffed moose
named 'Chocolate' (based on the animator's favourite stuffy) who will
guide the viewer along as the story progresses.
The idea will progress as a generic "in a foreign country" plot. Day
one, first day in jbogu'e; day two, my room; day three, going to the
store; day four, going to school; etc. The plan is to simultaneously
introduce new grammatical concepts each day along with new bodies of
vocabulary that match the level of the grammar introduced. So day one
will be basic sumti-selbri relationships, COI, ko, etc. Day two would
introduce LE as the exchange student learns the names of things around
the house. Perhaps lag on these a little bit as this should be geared
towards slow learners and be more example-based. I'm sure the pacing
can be worked out and agreed upon.
The very first thing I need is absolutely every concept that should be
introduced in the first 10 minutes. Perhaps days should be divided
into three parts to be YT digestible?
After this, I would like help/input for creating a script.
Finally, I will need some assisting animators, voices, and at least
one editor. I will be doing the audio/music and some voices, and I
have a lead/keyframe animator. This won't be necessary for a long
while, but it's good to have volunteers.
So please, suggest ideas that you would like to see, concepts you
would like introduced early on, and what sort of social customs there
should be in jbogu'e. Any advice, tips, or requests are greatly
appreciated.
