I must confess that this is not a new idea, but one stolen from the
very same.
So it's not quite as coincidental as you'd like, but simply a rehashed
idea.

I think my idea is a little bit less intimidating as it doesn't
require anybody to speak in real time, so people have a chance to
think and practice. It also allows for a greater number of players as
nobody is required to be on at a certain time. However, this shouldn't
mean that we can't have a voice-chat game for people that are more
comfortable speaking in real-time. We have Mumble (which reeeeaaaally
needs to be updated to the new client/server version) and people can
easily have a quick round on there and post the results.

So, yes, if anybody is wondering, check out the above link for my
inspiration.
