Hey yeah how about: 5) because it's stylish and far out and fun! We
make a lot of concessions all the time in our Lojbanic style for all
y'all nintadni, but it's relaxing sometimes to stretch our legs and
take Lojban out for a bit of a jog once in a while. Believe me, I
understand how overwhelming it is; it's only in the past year or two
that I've been able to read la gejyspa's beautiful architectural style
any faster than a snail can crawl. But once you've got the hang of
them tricks like the "se te se" thing (in Lojban I call it the za'e
"terbricakselkei", the bridi place shell game) are fun and
interesting!

I've been thinking someday it'll be nice to have a list called
something like "pluja" or za'e "lujyjbo" where we can explore more
difficult styles without overwhelming people. I use more complicated
styles sometimes when talking privately with people, but I don't
usually bring them out here, because I know how they can put a damper
on a conversation-- people feel like they have to read everything in a
conversation in order to participate, but then they get stuck on a
head-scratcher like "se te se" and end up not saying anything. I
don't mind usually putting mostly gismu in simple frames to broaden
the conversation, but it would be nice to also have somewhere to play
around with trickier things.

BTW for those not tuned in, Hedwig (la .xedbig.) is doing quite well,
with 18 members and 85 messages so far. I've been mostly speaking
very simply there in order to let the conversation flow, but I did do
one difficult experiment, which I'll copy here:

.ie zo to .e zo toi (to mi cafne pilno (to ku'i mi na'e mutce (to na'e
simsa dei toi) pluja bo jufra (to simsa dei toi) zbasu (to mukti fa lo
