I've been using the site http://ohlife.com/ in English and I've
recently decided to start writing one in Lojban as well. OhLife is
simple, but surprisingly effective: It sends you an email every day,
and you respond with your entry for that day (apparently you can also
attach a picture, but I haven't tried that feature). The email it
sends you also includes earlier entries you've written, starting with
yesterday's and then from the previous week, month, and year as you've
gotten that far. That's basically all there is to it-- it doesn't
sound like much, but I've gotten hooked, writing at least a few
paragraphs every day.
I think it should also be an excellent tool for practicing Lojban. It
gives you a reminder to write something every day, it's private so you
don't have to feel self-conscious about what you write, and it sends
you old entries so you can get some reading practice and hopefully see
how much your Lojban has developed. The advice I've always heard from
everyone who's ever mastered anything is to practice daily. If you
can start with even a sentence or two a day it'd probably do a lot to
accelerate your learning.
