It's a name. It doesn't have to mean anything. It's from {garna nanmu}, but it's not a cmene'd lujvo.

No, it means "rail-south". "nanmu" doesn't have a CVC rafsi, so you have to
say "granynanm" ("stick-man") or "garnanm" ("rail-man").
