Re: [lojban] mind map of lojban terms

If 'la Pred' is legit, so Pred can be a name ('Pred' = any predicate), is 'la'
followed by a nominalized bridi (drop the first argument, all subsequent
arguments preceded by connectors - 'be' and 'be'o' or some such) legitimate and
so any nominalized bridi can be a name? that is, can a phrase (as opposed to a
word -- or a string of cmevla or a complex predicate) be a name?

Almost, but not quite. It can also be quoted "zo .aleks.", it can be
used to make a lerfu ".aleks. bu", it can be used to make a zei-lujvo:
"ka zei .aleks.".

But those are special uses. The most common use is as a name, as in
"la .aleks." or "doi .aleks".

Not really due to morphological constraints. It's just a syntactic constraint.

Always, not usually. cmevla always end with a consonant, that's their
definition.

Sort of. Only a selbri or a string of cmevla can be used as a name.
But pretty much any word can be part of a selbri, if you join it with
"zei" to some other word, so in that sense, yes, anything can be a
valid name. So "la zei la" can be a name: "la la zei la cu klama lo
zarci". But using "la zei la", or things like that, as a name can be
slightly confusing.
