A look-up in whatever dictionary was to hand, with a little fiddling to get 
"more fruitful" results (more space between words, better rafsi possibilities, 
etc.).

I'm also often surprised at the choice of "source" words in those 6 languages 
(or rather the two I know, or mostly know) for various gismu... What was the 
algorithm for *that*? :)
