The point, as far as I could get from the interview on BB, was that a guy behind it was sick of having to use clip-art for flashcards (and their like) when there's photos available. And dry lists of "this word corresponds to this word" don't do it for everyone.

I don't really see the point?  It's just a bunch of "the house"/"der
Haus", which is like "Well, *yeah*?".

My response may be colored by the fact that the first image I
clicked through to was

, which just offends me (I own a copy of the
http://www.signwriting.org/ book)
