lojbab's and others' comments about languages being finished only when they're dead seem irrelevant to the intent of the one saying "finished". All natlangs are finished. That doesn't mean they're not changing. It means they're adequate for expressing anything the speaker of the native culture of that language wants to express. Esperanto is finished, using this definition. Lojban is not, because it doesn't have the vocabulary necessary to express everything that a native speaker might want to express. Lojban is nearer to being finished than Loglan ever was, and what it needs to become finished is simply for people to use it (a lot).
